Animal Crossing helps lift Nintendo stock to two-year high

Animal Crossing: New Leaf is all about fluctuating prices and the accumulation of wealth, so it's appropriate that the game's success has boosted Nintendo's fortunes in the global game of international capitalism.

Nintendo's stock closed at its highest level for two years today, with high sales of Animal Crossing and of 3DS cited by analysts as reasons to be cheerful. The analysts, according to Bloomberg, also pointed towards China's lifting of its console ban, which is likely to be of benefit to Nintendo. The company's stock jumped four percent in Tokyo trading today, its highest level since July 2011.
