StarCraft 2 celebrates anniversary by unlocking all three races in free Starter Edition and more

Blizzard is celebrating its third year since the launch of StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty by unlocking all three races in the game's Starter Edition, increasing XP gains for a limited time and offering up a new desktop background.

Players who still haven't upgraded from the StarCraft 2 Starter Edition to the full edition will be able to try their hand at the game from both the Protoss and Zerg perspective, with an additional XP increase of 25 percent. The official 15th Anniversary Line Up wallpaper by artist Jack Mancini can be found here in multiple resolutions.

StarCraft 2 launched on July 27, 2010. Blizzard recently introduced a new Spawning system to the game, allowing players who own the full game to play with those who only own the free, feature-limited version of the RTS.
