NIS America released the latest trailer for Nippon Ichi Software's strategy role playing game, Disgaea D2: A Brighter Darkness. The game's second official trailer introduces protagonist Overlord Laharl, Overlord's Vassal Etna, Fallen Angel Flonne and Sicily, who claims to be the Overlord's sister.
The characters are from the first instalment of the series, Disgaea: Hour of Darkness. The new game includes a revamped character and personality creation system, as well as dual audio voicing. The new Master and Pupil System allows players to choose the master and the pupil, as well as skills for the characters. New skills and higher weapons can be gained for the pupil through the new system. Disgaea D2: A Brighter Darkness also includes an Item World, a battleground where players can power up weapons, items and characters.
Nippon Ichi Software's strategy role playing game, will launch on Oct. 8 in North America and Sept. 27 in Europe for the PlayStation 3. Additional DLC for the title is planned for release at a later date. It first launched in Japan on March 20 for the PlayStation 3. Disgaea: Hour of Darkness was originally released on the PlayStation 2 in 2003 before receiving ports on the PSP and Nintendo DS. Last July, NIS America announced that Disgaea 5 is in development.
