Heavily distilled fighting game Divekick will be released on Windows PC through Steam on Aug. 20, the same day it arrives on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita, the developer announced on Twitter today. Like the PlayStation versions, Divekick for PC will be priced at $9.99.
The Steam version will support Big Picture mode and Steamworks. Divekick passed the Steam Greenlight process earlier this week, joining 15 other titles planned for Valve's digital distribution platform.
Divekick, from One True Game Studios and Iron Galaxy, features a roster of 13 fighters, but just two buttons (and no joystick) focused on jumping and kicking. Its creators say Divekick attempts to strip away fighting game complexity in an effort to "reintroduce people to the genre they used to love, but grew apart from as it became more and more complicated."
