Australian developer Dancing Dinosaur Games has an idea for a combination of Crazy Taxi, Twisted Metal and the film The Fifth Element — the game is called Collateral, and the studio is attempting to raise $15,000 for it on Kickstarter.
As you can see in the Kickstarter pitch video above, Collateral is a car combat game set in a dystopian cyberpunk future reminiscent of The Fifth Element. You play as Zack Edgewater, the driver of an armored flying taxi, who's trying to curry favor with one of the factions that rule the city of New Bedlam. The city is under lockdown, but Edgewater hopes to escape. New Bedlam is an open world with various districts, and you'll have to complete missions for its factions as you try to get close with them.
With 12 days to go in its Kickstarter campaign, Melbourne, Australia-based Dancing Dinosaur has raised $9,723, approximately 64 percent of its goal. Collateral is in development on Windows PC; you can watch the full trailer below.
