Facebook will provide analytics and promotional support to “select high-potential game developers” through a pilot mobile game publishing program, the social media company announced today.
Facebook promoting mobile games in pilot publishing program

Through the pilot program, mobile game developers will have their titles promoted to Facebook’s users who have shown interest in gaming in the past — a way of helping developers find an audience without spamming Facebook’s entire user base. Facebook will also share its analytics tools with developers, further helping them refine their targeted audience — all in exchange for an undisclosed share of the mobile game’s revenue.
In a post on the Facebook Developers blog, software engineer Victor Medeiros outlined the first ten games participating in the pilot program, a list which includes Certain Affinity’s Age of Booty: Tactics and Outplay Entertainment’s Monster Legacy. For the full list of early participants and a registration page to apply for the program, check out the Facebook Developers blog.
