Terraria getting retail console release with Collector's Edition

A collector's edition of Re-Logic's action-adventure role-playing game Terraria will be released in North American retailers for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, publisher 505 Games announced via press release.

A mix of Minecraft and Metroid, Terraria allows players to dig, craft, build and explore with friends. The collector's edition will include a pickaxe USB flash drive, vellum stickers and a crafting poster. Xbox 360 owners will receive a disc version of the game, while PlayStation 3 owners will get a download card for PlayStation Network. The game will cost $39.99.

Terraria launched for PlayStation 3 earlier this year in Japan. Downloadable copies of the game for PlayStation Network and Xbox Live became available in the U.S. in March.
