Crackdown, Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising 2: Case Zero will be free for Xbox Live Gold members through the Games with Gold program in August, according to a post today on Major Nelson's blog.
Realtime Worlds' open world action game Crackdown (normally 800 Microsoft Points or $10) will be free Aug. 1-15. Capcom's zombie and handcrafted weapon-infused Dead Rising 2 (normally $14.99) and its downloadable prequel Dead Rising 2: Case Zero (normally 400 Microsoft points or $5) will be free Aug. 16-31.
Microsoft unveiled the Games with Gold program in early June, which provides Xbox Live Gold members with free downloadable games on the first and 16th of each month. To date, Fable 3, Assassin's Creed 2 and Defense Grid: The Awakening have been included in the program.
