A new developer diary for PlayStation Vita FPS Killzone: Mercenary focuses on the game's multiplayer mode.
Whatever a player unlocks in the single-player campaign will carry over into multiplayer, say the developers. This helps ensure that new players won't immediately be at a disadvantage against those who have been playing for a while, and enables players without access to wireless internet to still advance their character.
The game supports a ranked system in which players will be given "Valor cards" on a daily basis, and this will effect how efficiently they're able to earn in-game money. Players will earn bonuses from completing hands one might find in a card game like a royal flush, or by completing a whole deck.
Killzone: Mercenary hits PS Vita on September 4 in Europe and September 10 in North America.
