A new Splinter Cell: Blacklist video features community developer Zack Cooper commenting on a gameplay demo of hero Sam Fisher sneaking into the site of a Blacklist attack.
An enemy group called the Engineers has disabled the safety controls on a Louisiana natural gas refinery and rammed it with a tanker, setting the place ablaze. In the mission, Sam must first sneak into the control center so his mission control team can reactivate the safety measures.
The demo pits Sam against a crew of heavy infantry, whose full armor and heavy weaponry means that fighting them head-on is unwise. Instead, Sam can attack from above or behind to kill them silently, or shoot off their protective helmets before hitting them with a dose of sleeping gas from a concealed remote camera.
After restoring the safety measures, Sam heads after the leader of the Engineer attack, and the demo ends with a chase sequence.
Splinter Cell: Blacklist releases on August 20 for Wii U, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC.
