Sony is opening to doors to the Killzone: Mercenary multiplayer beta in late August, prior to the game's September launch, the company announced on its official PlayStation blog.
Meanwhile, the closed beta that was first announced in July has now started. Sony closed sign-ups to this multiplayer beta in mid-July. The full game's multiplayer component will feature a wide variety of weapons, including the Van-Guard, a "wrist-mounted murder assistant" that can be used to customize a player's multiplayer load-out.
Killzone: Mercenary will launch Sept. 10 for PlayStation Vita.
