Skylanders Swap Force Dark Edition, a version of Vicarious Visions' upcoming video game/action figure mashup, will include a set of alternate "Dark" characters, executive producer Scott Krager revealed today on the PlayStation Blog.
A $99.99 starter pack available exclusively at GameStop will include five characters: Dark Washbuckler, Dark Blast Zone, Dark Slobber Tooth, Dark Spyro and Dark Stealth Elf. It will also include a poster featuring all Skylanders from all games, sticker sheets containing "secret codes" and five trading cards, as you can see in PlayStation 3 version above. The non-dark version of the Skylanders Swap Force starter pack retails for $74.99.
Skylanders Swap Force is headed for an Oct. 13 release on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, Wii U, Nintendo 3DS and Windows PC. An Activision representative told Polygon at E3 2013 that it will be a "day and date" launch release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Check out Polygon's hands-on preview for more on the game.
