Splinter Cell: Blacklist devs tackle hardcore stealth co-op together

In a video posted by Ubisoft, Splinter Cell: Blacklist lead co-op gameplay designer Richard Carrillo and community developer Zack Cooper walk viewers through one of the game's co-op missions.

In this particular mission, protagonist Sam Fisher and CIA operative Isaac Briggs are assigned to infiltrate what appears to be a fortress in the middle of the sea and obtain sensitive information from computers. While they are permitted to use both lethal and non-lethal takedowns, the mission fails instantly if either one of the players are detected by guards.

The video shows just how important cooperation is in the stealth missions, by showing how easily things can go wrong without it.

Splinter Cell: Blacklist launches on Aug. 20.
