The Castithan Charge Pack, Defiance's first major piece of downloadable content, is set for an Aug. 20 release, the massively multiplayer online shooter's developer, Trion Worlds, announced today.
The Castithan Charge Pack will be available for $9.99 on PlayStation 3 and Windows PC or 800 Microsoft Points on Xbox 360 and will launch on all platforms the same day. It will include new missions, vehicles, customization options and more, which are exclusive to purchasers of the DLC.
A slew of free updates are also headed to Defiance, including new shotguns, sniper rifles and pistols, a new PvP map, sieges and more. Polygon learned at E3 this year that the new, charge-based Volge weapons available to those who play through the DLC can also be found randomly by those without the DLC.
