Batman: Arkham Origins players in North America, Australia and New Zealand will be able to get their hands on a special goodie-packed collectors' edition of the game when it launches on Oct. 25, publisher Warner Bros. announced today.
The $119.99 Batman: Arkham Origins Collectors' Edition will be available in limited quantities for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
Players who purchase the special edition will receive a copy of the game along with an exclusive nine-inch statue featuring the Joker, an 80-page hardcover artbook, two replicas of "evidence taken directly from the Gotham City Police Department crime lab," a Batman wanted poster, a prototype schematic of the Batwing, an Anarky logo stencil, a photo of the Wayne family and a glow in the dark map of Gotham City. The edition also includes the Assassin's Intel Dossier, which includes files on the game's eight assassins.
In terms of in-game goods, buyers will also receive the 1st Appearance Batman skin — a replica of Batman's costume from his first appearance in Detective Comics #27 in 1939 — as well as the Deathstroke Challenge Pack, which grants the ability to play as Deathstroke in all Arkham Origins Challenge maps and features two bonus maps and Deathstroke skins. North American players will get the Necessary Evil: Super-Villains of DC Comics documentary video, in which actor Christopher Lee narrates an overview of DC's most notorious villains.
PlayStation 3 players will also receive the Knightfall pack, which includes content based on the early 1990s' Knightfall storyline.
Batman: Arkham Origins will launch on Oct. 25 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Windows PC and Wii U. It will launch alongside its companion game, Batman: Arkham Origins: Blackgate, for Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita.
