Valve's former director of business, Jason Holtman, is now working at Microsoft, he confirmed to GamesIndustry International.
Holtman joined Valve in 2005, where he worked with developers to bring their games to Steam, the company's digital distribution platform. His position at Microsoft will see him working on Windows.
"Yes, I have joined Microsoft where I will be focusing on making Windows a great platform for gaming and interactive entertainment," Holtman said. "I think there is a lot of opportunity for Microsoft to deliver the games and entertainment customers want and to work with developers to make that happen, so I'm excited to be here."
Word of Holtman's departure from Valve came in Feb. 2013, at the same time that Valve laid off some of its hardware and Android staff.
