A Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Collection including an HD version of Nintendo 3DS game Mirror of Fate has been listed on PlayAsia.
According to the listing, the collection will cost $34.90 and be available for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The retailer lists the release date as sometime in October of this year.
The contents list includes a copy of the first Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, its Reverie and Resurrection downloadable content packs and an exclusive demo for upcoming title Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2. The listing also mentions Castlevania: Lords of Shadow — Mirror of Fate HD, a possible upgraded port of the 3DS version, which was released this past March.
"The complete collection with all the DLC and the HD Port of the Nintendo 3DS game," reads the item's description.
Back in February, Konami U.K. studio head Dave Cox said that HD assets for Mirror of Fate had been made by developer Mercury Steam, and that a console port was possible if the game found success on 3DS.
"We created everything in high definition — all the textures, all the levels, high-poly models, everything -— and we kind of shrunk it all down into the 3DS," Cox said. "Then we lost bones from characters, you know, we dropped the resolution of the textures and everything to make it fit. At MercurySteam we have an HD version of the game sitting there in a computer somewhere."
Konami has yet to announced a Lords of Shadow collection or an HD port of Mirror of Fate. We have reached out to them for more details, and will share information as we receive it.
