Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition, an updated and expanded version of the original title, is available once again on the iTunes App Store.
Beamdog producer Phillip Daigle announced the game's return via Twitter; those interested can purchase it for $9.99 on iPad. Additionally, Daigle promised news soon on the game's upcoming patch and sequel.
We're back. News regarding the #bgee patch and #bg2ee will come in awhile as we bring some heavy machinery out of storage

Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition was removed from the App Store in late June due to contractual complications with Atari. Although players who already owned the game could still play, the Enhanced Edition for Android was also put on hold.
Update: Creative director Trent Oster told Polygon the Android version of Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition is currently in development.
"We are indeed back at work on the Android version," Oster said. "I'm really hoping it can be a big success and show the Android ecosystem is a great tablet gaming platform for paid apps."
