Fantastic Fest, an annual film festival in Austin, Texas, will showcase more than 20 indie games during this year's Fantastic Arcade, organizers announced today.
Of the available titles, eight games will be specially featured. According to Arcade creative director Wiley Wiggins, spotlighted titles are selected for their "arcadiness" quality. Each game will be presented in a stand-up arcade cabinet specially constructed for that title.
Featured games are as follows:
- Samurai Gunn (Beau Blythe)
- Wasteland Kings (Vlambeer)
- Goblet Grotto (The Catamites)
- Panoramical (Fernando Ramallo)
- QED (Stephen Ascher)
- Starwhal (Breakfall)
- No Brakes Valet (Justin Smith)
- Towerfall (Matt Thorson)
Gaming events will be free and open to the public at the Alamo Drafthouse Lakeline. Fantastic Fest Arcade takes place from Sept. 19-22.
