Warhammer 40K gets a collectible card game for mobile and PC

Developer HeroCraft announced today that is it partnering with Games Workshop to create an iOS, Android and Windows PC Warhammer game titled Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolf.

The free-to-play game will feature turn-based tactical combat and use collectible cards to drive the actions of the 3D characters. There will be hundreds of cards available, and players will be able to build their own decks to fit their strategy and tactics. When players choose a card, the card's actions will be played out in real-time by the characters on the screen, and battles will take place in interactive 3D environments.

Players will also be able to choose their character path, which will determine what strategies they employ. The paths include Grey Hunter, Wolf Scout, Blood Claw and Wolf Guard.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolf is slated to launch in 2014.
