Borderlands and Brothers In Arms developer Gearbox Software will host its fan-focused Community Day on Saturday, Sept. 14, promising a look at the developer's past, present and future. But for Gearbox fans who can't make the trip to Dallas, Tex., the studio will be livestreaming the event online.
This year's Community Day takes place just a few days shy of the first anniversary of Borderlands 2's release. With the upcoming release of the Headhunter pack T.K. Baha's Bloody Harvest, Gearbox may have some news for Borderlands 2 players. Whether Gearbox will offer new details on its other announced projects, Furious 4 and updates to the Homeworld franchise, remains to be seen.
Gearbox Software is offering fans the opportunity to win prizes during its Community Day, either by asking questions that the developer feels warrant responses or by submitting outstanding examples of Gearbox-themed cosplay. Gearbox is also holding a contest at PAX Prime later this month that could win Borderlands 2 players a trip to Community Day.
"Stop by the 2K Booth at PAX Prime and be among the first to play the upcoming Borderlands 2 Headhunter Pack add-on T.K. Baha's Bloody Harvest — the four-player team with the fastest boss takedown time across all of PAX Prime will be flown out to compete against the Gearbox Software team at Community Day in Dallas, TX on September 14," reads the developer's official website.
