Notch releases browser-based game jam title, Shambles

Minecraft creator Markus "Notch" Persson's latest project, a zombie-filled, first-person shooter called Shambles, is available to play for free in your browser.

In Shambles, players roam through a pixelated street while killing zombies, avoiding police and leaving civilians unharmed. The goal is to survive as long as possible. Along the way, players will pick up items dropped by zombies and scout for new weapons, ammo and health.

Shambles was created as part of 7DFPS game jam — a weeklong challenge where developers create a first-person shooter. The jam was held fom Aug. 10-17.

You can try out Shambles, which uses basic keyboard controls, here.
