The PlayStation 3 version of Disney Infinity is causing trouble for some users, locking up the game and rendering it unplayable due to a network issue related to the game's day-one version 1.01 patch, according to a statement on the game's official Facebook page.
"This is not a software-related issue, and we are working to resolve this as quickly as possible," the statement reads. "Players with the PlayStation 3 version of Disney Infinity are still able to play single-player and multi-player co-op modes of the game by removing the patch and turning off their PlayStation's network communications."
Full instructions on how to remove the patch and turning-off the console's network communications are listed on Disney Infinity's Facebook page. The issue is apparent on Twitter, Facebook and the official PlayStation forums, where PlayStation 3 Disney Infinity users are seeking help for the issue. The game's executive producer, John Vignocchi, is also advising users on Twitter to uninstall the game's day-one patch and not install it on restart, and adding that QA teams are working on a fix.
Disney Infinity launched Aug. 18 on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. For more information on the game, don't miss out on our review.
