A $199.99 PlayStation 3 is available in North America, PlayStation president and CEO Andrew House confirmed today, highlighting the console that Polygon reported was officially unconfirmed but on sale yesterday.
The same 12 GB console will retail for €199 in Europe, House said during Sony's Gamescom 2013 press conference.
Word of the flash-based PS3 first broke first through a Target ad. Sony introduced the 12 GB PS3 at the 2012 Tokyo Game show, after which it was sold in limited markets.
