Sony Computer Entertainment of Japan Asia press conference set for Sept. 9

Sony Computer Entertainment of Japan Asia will host a press conference on Sept. 9 at 3:00 p.m. JST/3:00 a.m ET, the company announced today.

The SCEJA Press Conference 2013, focusing on PlayStation news in the region, will be live streamed on Sony's PlayStation Japan website, with updates going live on the official PlayStation Japan Twitter account. Sony's press event comes ahead of the Tokyo Game Show 2013, which is scheduled to take place at the Makuhari Messe from Sept. 19-22. More than 180 companies will exhibit at this year's TGS, including Microsoft who returns to the convention after last year's absence.

Sony held its Gamescom Press Conference yesterday where it announced European and North American news, such a price reduction for the PlayStation Vita, the release date of the PlayStation 4 in 32 regions and a stampede of indie games for all PlayStation platforms.
