The Witness is a new trailer for Square Enix's supernatural detective thriller Murdered: Soul Suspect.
Developed by Airtight Games, the game is the story of a slain cop who, in ghost form, must solve the puzzle of his own death while navigating various perils of the afterlife, such as evil spirits.
In the new Gamescom trailer, central character Ronan O'Connor finds out that a young women witnessed his murder, and tries to figure out a way to communicate with her. The game is about picking up clues and stringing together facts, with some combat elements involving other ghostly apparitions.
Murdered: Soul Suspect is due to launch in early 2014 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC.
