Yatagarasu Attack on Cataclysm, the 2D fighting game created by former SNK and King of Fighters developers over the past six years, is coming to PlayStation Vita, publisher Nicalis announced today. The game will come to Sony's portable with a new name, Legend of Raven.
The game was originally planned for release on Nintendo 3DS (a PC version also exists), but transitioned to Vita "due to the incredibly overwhelming response from the fighting gaming community," according to Victor Rodriguez, CEO and executive producer, Nicalis. Legend of Raven for Vita will feature new parallax scrolling effects, an overhauled soundtrack and local wireless play, Nicalis said in a release.
The creators of Yatagarasu turned to crowdfunding through Indiegogo in June seeking donations to help complete the game and add new characters and features. Their campaign was successful, pulling in more than $118,000 in contributions.
