The web app for FIFA 14's Ultimate Team mode will be available starting Sept. 15, publisher Electronic Arts announced today on the game's official Twitter account.
Ultimate Team users will be able to hop online and set up their squads in advance of the game's North American release date, which is Sept. 24 on Windows PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. (There is a PlayStation Vita version of the game, but Ultimate Team is not available in it.) FIFA 14 will also be released on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 at launch, and developer EA Canada will allow players to carry over their Ultimate Teams from current-gen to next-gen within the Xbox and PlayStation platforms.
Last year, EA had problems with the FIFA 13 Ultimate Team web app — the developers were forced to take it down prior to the game's release because some users were taking advantage of exploits. EA Canada eventually brought the app back online after banning the users in question.
