Sony bringing more than 40 PS4, PS3, Vita games to PAX Prime

Samit Sarkar (he/him) is Polygon’s deputy managing editor. He has more than 15 years of experience covering video games, movies, television, and technology.

Sony will have a major presence at PAX Prime this year to show off its soon-to-be-released PlayStation 4, although the company isn't forgetting about the PlayStation 3 or PlayStation Vita, it announced today.

The company's own booth, #212, will be located in a corner of the show floor on the fourth level of the Washington State Convention Center, boxed in by the Microsoft and booths. More than 40 games across PS4, PS3 and PS Vita will be playable within the booth; you can check out the full list of titles below.

Visitors to the booth who pre-order any of the games on site will receive an exclusive T-shirt while supplies last. Booth attendees can also try to pick up a PS4 passport — only 500 are available on each of PAX Prime's four days — which serves as a ticket to various giveaways from Sony.

Representatives from Sony and from developers of PlayStation games will be participating in a number of panels throughout the weekend. Here's the list:

  • Pitching The Last of Us - Friday, Aug. 30, 2-3 p.m., Pegasus Theatre
  • Infamous: Second Son: Being Superhuman in Seattle - Friday, Aug. 30, 5:30-6:30 p.m., Kraken Theatre
  • Official PlayStation Blogcast Live! - Saturday, Aug. 31, 12:30-1:30 p.m., Pegasus Theatre
  • Gender Diversity in Games: Where Are All The Believable Female Characters? - Monday, Sept. 2, 2-3 p.m., Pegasus Theatre

Fans of The Last of Us can also vie for 350 tickets to autograph sessions with creative director Neil Druckmann and game director Bruce Straley. One will be held Friday from 4-5 p.m.; the other will run from 2-3 p.m. on Saturday.

Sony is also putting a major focus on indie games and indie developers. A variety of indie games will be playable at the show, whether at the Sony booth, in the Indie Megabooth or elsewhere on the show floor. More details for indie-centric activities are available on the PlayStation Blog.
