Kickstarter will begin accepting Australian and New Zealand-based projects “in the very near future,” the crowdfunding site announced today.
Kickstarter coming to Australia and New Zealand in near future

Details are limited at this stage, but interested parties can sign up to be notified when Australian and New Zealand residents can start launching Kickstarter campaigns. Kickstarter is currently available only in the U.S., the U.K. (where it launched last fall) and Canada, where it will roll out on Sept. 9.
The organization will host Kickstarter Schools in the coming week for those keen to learn more. Tickets are free but spaces are limited. Sydney Kickstarter School will take place on Sept. 1 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. AEST and the Melbourne event will be hosted on Sept. 2 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. AEST.
