Halo 4 Game of the Year Edition arriving this October

Halo 4 Game of the Year Edition will arrive this October for $49.99, a Microsoft spokesperson confirmed with Polygon.

"A Game of the Year Edition of Halo 4 will be offered this October, offering tremendous value for fans who want to enjoy one of the most critically acclaimed games of 2012, and additional DLC all in one place," the spokesperson said in a prepared statement. "We will have more details to share during the live stream of the Halo Global Championship Finals this Sunday."

News of the Halo 4 Game of the Year Edition first surfaced on IGN when a source provided the publication with an image of the upcoming release. According to the image, the Game of the Year Edition features Spartan Ops Season 1, War Games Map Pass, Halo 4 Champions Bundle and previously released pre-order exclusive and Limited Collector's Edition DLC. Microsoft was unable to confirm the Game of the Year Edition's contents.
