Watch PAX Prime in action on Twitch

Twitch will feature streams of events across this tear's PAX Prime in Seattle, it was announced on the web streaming service's official website this week.

Starting this Friday, the live stream will cover everything from a packed schedule of games to the first ever $20,000 North American invitational for Hi-Rez Studio's new MOBA release Smite. Prizes will be given away via the stream chat and social networks, including game codes, Twitch Turbo codes and SteelSeries Frost mice and mouse pads.

Twitch will also be streaming a number of panels alongside publishers. On Aug. 31 at 3:30 p.m., 2K will stream its "Strategy Masterminds" panel which will feature new details about XCOM: Enemy Within. On Sept. 2, 2K is also set to stream "Inside Gearbox Software," a panel that will offer a first look at new Borderlands 2 DLC.

Ubisoft's new competitive gaming event, "The Next Level," will debut at PAX Prime and stream from Friday to Monday starting at 10 a.m. Finally, two Twitch-oriented panels are on the cards for Sept. 1, beginning with "Web video for gamers: How to make your live streaming and on-demand video content awesome" at 3:30 p.m., followed by "Twitch: Then. Now. FOR-EV-ER" at 4:30 p.m.
