Dead Rising 3, Ryse, Forza 5 include Day One Edition DLC (update)

Dead Rising 3 and Ryse: Son of Rome will be available in special Day One Editions with exclusive content at the launch of the Xbox One this November, publisher Microsoft Studios announced today.

The unique version of Dead Rising 3 will come with the Dead Rising Tribute Pack, which offers skins for the series' two previous protagonists, Frank West and Chuck Greene. West is outfitted with his Zombie Slugger weapon, extra-gory attacks, a custom skill move and attribute perks; Greene swings around a Paddle Saw that includes perks.

Ryse's launch-day edition includes an exclusive map, Ruins, for the Gladiator co-op mode, along with a sword known as Legionnaire's Trust. Day One Edition owners will be able to invite friends who own the Standard Edition into rounds on Ruins.

Microsoft previously announced a Day One Edition for Forza Motorsport 5 that will include three exclusive cars.

The Day One Editions are available through pre-orders of retail copies while supplies last. Anyone who buys the aforementioned games digitally from Xbox Live within the first two weeks of the Xbox One's launch will also get the Day One content.

Update: Microsoft's Major Nelson updated his announcement post with a clarification: It turns out that the Day One DLC won't be available to customers who buy the games digitally through the Xbox Games Store.
