A Lost Planet 3 cinematic launch trailer tells the story of a civilian miner caught up in matters considerably over his head.
Jim Peyton is a colonist working as a miner on the frozen planet of E.D.N. III for the Neo-Venus Construction company, or NEVEC. He has his own little slice of paradise sheltered from the elements outside, and dreams of being able to return home to his family.
Unfortunately for Jim, things don't quite go as planned. An accident strands him far from where he should be, and he ends up caught in the middle of a struggle that, as a prequel, will show how NEVEC came to rule E.D.N. III as shown in the first game.
Lost Planet 3 is out today for Windows PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in North America, and launches on Aug. 30 in Europe.
