Microsoft is bringing Xbox 360 and Xbox One to PAX Prime Aug. 30 through Sept. 2, and attendees can partake in demos, hands-on sessions, watch a Halo tournament and more on the show floor, Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb revealed today on his blog.
Microsoft will set up more than 60 stations at booths 412, 422 and 432 at PAX Prime. Demos for Dead Rising 3, Project Spark, Kinect Sports Rivals, Fable Anniversary and Forza Motorsport 5 will take place on Microsoft's stage throughout each day.
Games attendees can get their hands on include:
- Battlefield 4's Siege of Shanghai multiplayer map, which we played at E3 2013 and will launch in beta this October
- Forza Motorsport 5 featuring the McLaren P1 on the Laguna Seca race track
- Killer Instinct, Double Helix Games' next-gen fighting game
- Ryse: Son of Rome's co-op multiplayer Gladiator mode, which is set in the Colosseum and pits players against hordes of enemies
The Halo 4 Global Championship will continue throughout the weekend at PAX Prime, and Major Nelson will host a livestream of the finals on Sunday, Sept. 1, from 4-6 p.m. PT. Those not in attendance can watch through the Xbox dashboard.
"And of course there will be other surprises at the booth," Major Nelson wrote, "including games that I'm not at liberty to divulge ... yet."
Polygon will join all the games at PAX Prime later this week, so be sure to check back for all the news.
