An expansion for mobile game Halo: Spartan Assault is set to launch on Thursday, offering five new missions for the overhead shooter.
The twin-stick 343 Industries game, created with Vanguard Games, is available for Windows 8 mobile devices and has been the top paid app in the Windows 8 mobile store since its launch in July. The expansion, called "Operation Hydra," features new adventures for protagonist Sarah Palmer in her fight against the Covenant.
Operation Hydra adds support for wired Xbox 360 controllers. Weapons previously only available via in-app purchase can be bought using in-game XP.
