Those who pre-order Grand Theft Auto 5 for the Xbox 360 via the Microsoft Store will receive a coupon for 1,600 Microsoft Points (approximately $20 in value), according to an entry for the game on the store's site.

Rockstar's open-world game is available to pre-order from the store for $59.99 and includes free shipping. Coupon codes will be sent to consumers email addresses and points will be added to accounts as local currency when redeemed through the Xbox 360. The offer is valid until Sept. 16.

Earlier this week, Microsoft officially terminated Microsoft Points through an Xbox 360 software update in the U.S., that converted the points scheme into real money. A Microsoft representative told Polygon at the time that the official release of the 2013 Xbox Live Update will be a gradual deployment across all 41 Xbox Live-enabled markets.

GTA 5 launches on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on Sept. 17.
