Rayman Legends Vita delayed in Europe

The PlayStation Vita version of Rayman Legends has been delayed to Sept. 13 in Europe, Ubisoft announced today.

In a statement, a representative for Ubisoft told Polygon the Vita version has been delayed "in order to apply the final level of polish gamers expect from a Rayman game." Rayman Legends will launch in U.K. this Friday, Aug. 30 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Windows PC and Nintendo Wii U.

In February, Ubisoft announced Rayman Legends, previously a Wii U exclusive, would launch on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and the Wii U version would be delayed for release alongside them. All three versions were set to launch in September. In June, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said that the decision to delay the Wii U version was because of the company feared the console "was not going to sell enough of those games."

In May, Ubisoft announced Rayman Legends would also launch on PlayStation Vita. Check out Polygon's review of the game here.
