Freefall Racers, a Kinect-based kart racer of sorts featuring flying squirrels, will be available on Xbox 360 in September, publisher Deep Silver announced today with a preview video from Electric Playground Daily.

Smoking Gun Interactive, the Vancouver-based studio behind Doodle Jump Kinect, is developing Freefall Racers, which was outed back in May by a listing on the Australian Classification Board. John Johnson, Smoking Gun's CEO and creative director, told Electric Playground Daily that the studio has been working on the game for "about a year and a half."

Freefall Racers allows players to control a flying squirrel as it freefalls toward the ground through a race track. The game supports two-player local competitive and co-op play.

We've reached out to Deep Silver for more details on Freefall Racers, and will update this article with any information we receive.
