Blizzard's upcoming competitive card playing game Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft will come to Windows PC at launch; however, the team behind it is working to allow cross-platform play between mobile devices and Windows PC following the game's release, AusGamers reports.
The developers have already successfully allowed for cross-platform play between Windows PC and iPad, according to producer Hamilton Chu. "We're not sure if it's going to be a launch feature of not," he added.
A version is also likely to come to Android devices later on, he added. "There're so many devices out there [that support Android.] So yeah, definitely we are thinking about it along with other platform opportunities down the road."
The free-to-play Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft is now in closed beta testing on Mac and Windows PC. Take a look at our recent interview with Blizzard regarding how the team plans to bring this genre of gaming to the mainstream.
