Lab Zero Games' 2D fighter, Skullgirls, is available for pre-order via Steam and includes permanent beta access to those who make a purchase now.
In Skullgirls, players take on the role of a fierce warrior fighting to claim the Skull Heart, an artifact said to grant the wish of one woman. Anyone who pre-orders the game will also receive the color palette downloadable content for free. Pre-orders are currently available for $14.99.
Skullgirls launches for Windows PC Aug. 22. Originally developed by Reverge Labs, the game was initially released last spring for PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade. Those who contributed at least $36 to the game's IndieGoGo campaign received a Steam code for the PC beta in July.
