Both versions of Soulcalibur 2 HD Online for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 will receive Todd McFarlane's Spawn and Tekken's Heihachi, characters originally announced as exclusives for the respective platforms, Namco Bandai announced.
Soulcalibur 2 HD Online features updated graphics from Project Soul's Soulcalibur 2, which was ported from arcades to the PlayStation 2, Xbox and GameCube in 2003. Along with Spawn and Heihachi, the 2003 port included The Legend of Zelda's Link as a third guest fighter.
First flaunted at San Diego Comic-Con in July, the high definition remake will include modes featured in the original, such as Arcade, Survival, VS Battle, Time Attack, Team Battle, Practice and Weapon Master modes.
Soulcalibur 2 HD Online will be available for download in autumn through Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network.
