A motion-comic trailer for Blackgate, the handheld side-story to Batman: Arkham Origins, shows some of Gotham City's worst criminals taking over Blackgate prison.
After an explosion rocks Blackgate, inmates place the prison "under new management," leaving it in the hands of villains like Solomon Grundy and Batman's eternal nemesis, the Joker. Knowing that half of the population of the prison wants him dead, Batman heads inside to put Gotham's worst back behind bars where they belong.
Warner Bros. Interactive told Polygon that Blackgate, as a prequel to the Arkham series alongside Arkham Origins, would feature Batman's first encounter with his half-enemy-half-love-interest, Catwoman.
