PlayStation Home will stop receiving new content in Asia after March 2014, publisher Sony Computer Entertainment announced today.
Updates for PlayStation Home in Japan will cease after September 2013, while updates in the rest of Asia will run through March. It's unclear if the service itself will be shut down in those regions after those dates; we've reached out to Sony for more details, and will update this article with any information we receive.
Sony confirmed that PlayStation Home will continue to be updated with "full weekly publishes, new public spaces, virtual items and platform features" in North America and Europe. The company originally launched PlayStation Home, a virtual world for PlayStation 3 in which PlayStation Network users can hang out, in December 2008.
