Composer Nobuo Uematsu’s musical e-book launches for iPad

Nobuo Uematsu's e-book, Blik-0 1946, is available through the iTunes store now and includes original tracks from the Final Fantasy composer.

The book follows a robot named Blik-0, whose functions allow him to feel emotions and experience life as humans do. As readers progress through the story, different tracks play in the background. In addition to penning the book, Uematsu is also responsible for tracks "Ah, But Why?," "So Close," and "Blink-0 1946."

"I wanted readers to recognize the happiness you can find in everyday life, which you often ignore because they are too close to you, and the importance of kindness and respect to others," Uematsu said of the book's story.

Hiroki Ogawa contributed the book's illustrations. Blik-0 1946 is available as a download for $9.99.
