Sound Shapes dev marks 1st anniversary with sale, gift, contest

Tomorrow, Aug. 7, is the one-year anniversary of Sound Shapes' North American release, and developer Queasy Games is marking the occasion with a half-off sale, a gift and a contest, the studio announced today.

The PlayStation 3/PlayStation Vita cross-buy title is on sale for $7.49, 50 percent off, from now through Aug. 13. In addition, all of the game's downloadable content is also half price during the sale, and avatars are free.

Fans interested in more free content can post their Sound Shapes thoughts in this thread on the PlayStation forums in order to receive a free code via XMB message for the Car Mini-Album and Entity Pack. Posts must be made by 2:59 a.m. ET on Aug. 13 in order to be eligible for a code.

Queasy Games is also holding a creation contest. Levels uploaded by Aug. 19 with the hashtag #BDay will be entered into a contest, with the top six entrants receiving a signed, screen-printed Sound Shapes poster. In addition, their levels will be included in an upcoming 1-year anniversary Milkcrate level collection.
