BioWare is offering new info about the upcoming addition to the Dragon Age series, Dragon Age: Inquisition, with an overview of the narrative and gameplay features available in the latest Game Informer.
In Inquisition players take on the role of the leader of the revived collective of Inquisitors who are working to root out evil throughout their region. Unlike Dragon Age 2, Inquisition will re-introduce multiple playable races, something that was first featured in Dragon Age: Origins.
The new title also introduces mounts that will help cut down on the time it takes to travel across large-scale areas. "I've been trying to drive exploration, something we used to have more of in our games," said executive producer Mark Darrah. "It's something that, frankly, BioWare hasn't done in a while...In a lot of ways, I'd say we're a lot like what you saw in the Baldur's Gate series, with areas that existed in part just to be spaces that you went to, but they had a story of their own."
Dragon Age: Inquisition is slated for release in fall 2014 on Windows PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
