The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD, an upcoming HD version of the game on Wii U, will hit European shores on Oct. 4, it was announced during today's Nintendo Direct.
No North American date was announced during the presentation; however, Nintendo previously offered an October launch window for the game.
Wind Waker HD was announced at the beginning of the year. The title, which will feature remastered visuals and GamePad functionality, came as a result of the Zelda development team experimenting with environmental art from past Zelda games in the Wii U's new hardware.
