The final installment in the Professor Layton series, Professor Layton and the Azran Legacies, will be available both in European retailers and Nintendo eShop on Nov. 8, Nintendo confirmed during today's Nintendo Direct conference.
Azran Legacies is the sixth Layton game and the third part of of the franchise's prequel trilogy. It will also be the last game to feature Layton as the main protagonist. Players follow Layton and his assistant Emmy to a snow-laden town in answer to reports of a living mummy. There they meet a girl who is the last of an ancient race, freeing her from an icy prison. The girl, Aria, will lead them on a global chase for answers to the riddles surrounding the mysterious Azran civilization.
The game's North American release window was announced in April, scheduled for release in 2014. Professor Layton and the Azran Legacies launched in Japan on Feb. 28.
