A new gameplay trailer for Pokémon Rumble U shows little pocket monsters battling it out in a massive arena.
Up to four players will be able to play at once, and players will be able to fight, befriend and ultimately play as every Pokémon from the series' first five generations for a total of 649 playable monsters.
Pokémon Rumble U is also the first game to use the Wii U's NFC functionality, where the player can place little figurines of Pokémon like Pikachu and Victini on the Game Pad and access those characters in game.
Pokémon Rumble U hits Wii U on Aug. 15 in Europe and Aug. 29 in North America.
